went for class lunch today for 42 peeps, full of laughter.

the lessons, the values, the beliefs and the spirit we learnt and cultivated in guides.. really touched and impacted me
i rmb i once wanted to quit guides in sec1 cuz i was so weak and i cannot tahan the hardship. that was so dumb
thinkin back all the hardship is nothing cuz everyone is standing by your side supporting you. everything is all worth it

dhs's really not an unbelievably, unreasonably strict school.
tucking in shirts, visible socks- these are what make students students right?
mini skirts, dangling earrings, thats why they are known as party clothes.
maybe some think its ridiculous ear sticks are not allowed,
(is it allowed now? i dont keep track since i dont wear them to school hah)
but is it really that big a sacrifice to not wear them to school if it is against the school rules?
human rights, you may argue.
but it is a school, nevertheless, where teachers are our boss,
and that's how this society works.
students hafta listen to teachers,
that's what makes it balanced.
of course there're some really temper provoking teachers,
or teachers who have no respect for students, yet expect us to have respect for them.
i must admit, i may just ap them or rant about it when blogging.
but to me,
dhs's full of wonderful taechers and working personnals for us to discover.
for those who hate dhs,
i mean, sure you can have your preference for schools,
(and this is not directed to anyone in particular!)
but if you went to another school,
will it really be as perfect as you thought it'd be?
it may be the sterotypes,
it may be the reflections of students there,
it may just merely be your assumption or believe,
that the other school(s) let their students have more freedom,
that their education life is much more exciting.
though they may have less stress,
(seeing that they wont have IDMI every year.)
there will still be a stress if you are the kind who has a sense of responsibility.
stress comes from how you face a certain obstacle,
not how seemingly big that obstacle is.
sure, dhs is an ip sch and blah,
but hey.
isnt that what makes us more outstanding than the rest?
isnt that what makes us able to say with pride,
'oh, im from dunman high school',
and people will recognise where you are from,
with the educationally/ politically correct mindset of how we are supposed to be?
(this is not to put other schools down, just how i feel dhs is different from the rest)
ever since dhs got our current principal,
so much has changed from before.
